A family-owned company, Acadian Construction began its existence in 1958. For more than a half century, we have operated with traditional, family-based values such as loyalty, honesty and a strong work ethic.

We have developed innovative approaches relevant to our industry. Communication and information-sharing are keys to success in our industry, as project team members are often in separate locations afield. We integrate an estimating management system, budgeting and accounting systems along with a workplace time reporting system. We utilize scheduling software that enables construction costs and progress to be monitored and constantly updated. This technical expertise offers a process that is transparent and timely for our clients.

Construction and project management services are provided in both official languages, a considerable advantage in New Brunswick and Atlantic Canada.

Acadian Construction continues to invest in information system technologies that render its business more effective. We are implementing a plan to ensure knowledge transfer between our senior employees and junior employees. That will ensure a succession. As a locally owned, private firm, we have been able to keep pace with the national firms by providing reliable, experienced and professional construction services at all stages throughout our projects. Being family-owned allows Acadian to implement long term goals, which aids employees and clients see value and develop a sense of belonging. We interact with all stakeholders – clients, employees, designers, suppliers, and trades – with respect and integrity.

Our commitment to a safe workplace environment has been at the forefront and Acadian was among the first construction firms to embrace proactively the NB Construction Safety Association’s Certificate of Recognition.

Today, Acadian Construction offers contracting and project management services to clients in the institutional, retail, restaurant, office, commercial, light industrial, hotel and multi-residential sectors. Our involvement begins at a project’s conception stage, as a member of the design and construction team, through to tendering, construction and commissioning of a project. Our team of employees includes clerical and accounting personnel, project coordinators and managers, site supervisors, laborers and carpenters, and a safety coordinator.
